EMDR Therapy
A gentle, structured way to process painful memories — so they lose their grip on your present. Sana is EMDR Asia trained and uses EMDR to help you feel steadier, lighter, and more like yourself again.
A proven therapy for memories that still hurt
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. It's a well-researched therapy that helps the brain do what it does naturally — process difficult experiences so they no longer feel raw or overwhelming.
When something painful happens, the memory can get "stuck", along with the emotions, beliefs, and body sensations tied to it. EMDR uses gentle, guided bilateral stimulation (such as guided eye movements or tapping) to help your mind reprocess that memory, so it settles into the past where it belongs.
You don't have to talk through every detail. EMDR works with how the memory is stored, not just the story around it — which many people find far less overwhelming.

What EMDR can support
EMDR is best known for trauma, but it can help with many experiences that leave a lasting mark.
Trauma & PTSD
Single events or long-standing experiences that still feel present in your body and mind.
Anxiety & panic
Fear responses rooted in past experiences that keep the nervous system on high alert.
Grief & loss
Painful memories connected to losing someone or something that mattered deeply.
Distressing memories
Moments that replay, intrude, or resurface at the times you least expect them.
Low self-worth
Deep-seated beliefs like "I'm not enough" that often trace back to earlier experiences.
Phobias
Specific fears that feel out of proportion but very real, and hard to reason your way out of.
How an EMDR journey unfolds
EMDR is phased and paced. Nothing is rushed — you build safety and trust first.
History & preparation
We get to know your story and build grounding tools, so you feel resourced and safe before any processing begins.
Identify the target
Together we gently pinpoint the memory, belief, or feeling to work on — at a pace that feels manageable.
Reprocessing
Using guided bilateral stimulation, your mind reprocesses the memory so it feels calmer and more distant.
Integration & closure
We close each session feeling settled, and strengthen the calmer, more helpful beliefs that emerge.
