How online therapy works

Beginning is simpler than it feels.

No referrals, no waiting rooms, no commute. Just a quiet conversation that starts whenever you're ready — from Pakistan or anywhere in the world.

Take the first step
  1. Reach out

Send a short message through the form or WhatsApp — share as much or as little as you feel ready to. You'll hear back personally, and we'll find a time that suits your timezone.

  2. Meet online

Sessions happen over secure video, from wherever you feel most at ease — your room, a quiet corner, anywhere private. The first session is about getting to know you, not about having the right words.

  3. Payment

Once we've found a time that works, you'll get simple payment details before your session — clear and upfront, with no hidden fees. You pay per session, so there's no long commitment and you can move at whatever pace feels right.

  4. Healing begins

Together we shape a plan around your goals, drawing on EMDR, CBT, and counselling. Progress looks different for everyone — there's no fixed timeline and no pressure to be anywhere but where you are.

Client experiences

What it's like to work with me

These are a few words from people I've had the privilege of walking alongside. Shared with their permission, and kept anonymous to protect their privacy.

"She has a real gift for pinpointing exactly what's troubling me and moving straight to solutions. It's been a good experience — for the first time, I feel hopeful about improving."

AIA.I.Lahore

"After years of unresolved trauma I was so hesitant to start. The EMDR work with Sana was genuinely life-changing — my past no longer controls my present."

JHJ.H.Lahore

"I saw visible, positive changes after just a few sessions."

AJA.J.Karachi

"I came in feeling lost and overwhelmed about the future. Sana helped me organise my thoughts, set realistic goals, and see strengths I'd completely overlooked."

SAS.A.Karachi

"I always leave our sessions feeling lighter and genuinely helped. 10/10."

MAM.A.Rawalpindi

"I realised I was part of the problem myself. A few small changes in how I respond made a huge difference — the sessions are so organised and effective."

MHM.H.Rawalpindi

"I started therapy during an incredibly stressful time and felt safe sharing things I'd never spoken aloud. My anxiety was finally understood, and my confidence slowly came back."

IMI.M.Canada

"I felt completely at ease with Sana. She is warm, non-judgemental, and deeply empathetic."

ASA.S.Canada

"Sana guided me so well. I've learned so much about myself along the way."

MJM.J.Islamabad

"It started slowly, but sticking with it helped everything begin to make sense. Counselling didn't erase my problems — it gave me real ways to handle them."

MBM.B.Sargodha

"A wonderful experience. Sana helped me so much with difficult domestic issues, and I want to keep working with her."

NIN.I.Lahore

"I never once felt judged. Sana helped me understand myself better and build much healthier boundaries in my relationships."

IKI.K.USA

"Change isn't instant magic — with Sana, it builds gradually into something lasting and real."

Support for what you're carrying

Whatever brought you here,
it's welcome here.

You don't need a diagnosis or a crisis to begin. These are some of the experiences
people commonly bring to therapy — yours may look different, and that's okay.

Anxiety & Overthinking

Racing thoughts, constant worry, panic, or that restless feeling that something's wrong.

Trauma & Difficult Memories

Painful past experiences that still affect you today — we'll work through this together, at a pace that feels safe.

Depression & Low Mood

Feeling flat, tearful, numb, or like the weight of everything has quietly become too much.

Relationships & Family

Conflict, boundaries, resentment, or feeling unseen within the people closest to you.

Stress, Work & Academic Pressure

Burnout, perfectionism, exam stress, or the fear of never quite being "enough".

Life Transitions & Change

Marriage, migration, becoming a parent, grief, or simply not feeling like yourself anymore.

Therapy is a collaborative process — outcomes vary from person to person, and no specific result can be guaranteed. What I can promise is presence, honesty, and care.

Therapy Approaches

Trained hands,
a soft approach.

I'm licensed and certified in the approaches below. No single method fits everyone, so sessions blend them around you — your history, your goals, your pace. We'll decide together what feels right, and adjust as we go.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing

A structured, evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process distressing memories so they lose their charge. Often used for trauma, it works without requiring you to retell everything in detail.

CBT

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

A practical, goal-oriented approach that explores the loops between thoughts, feelings, and actions — and helps you build kinder, more workable patterns for daily life.

Counselling

Person-centred Counselling

A warm, conversational space where you set the agenda. Sometimes what's needed most is to be deeply heard — without judgment, advice-giving, or rush.

About Your Therapist

Salaam, I'm Sana.

I'm a licensed clinical psychologist based in Islamabad, Pakistan, providing professional mental health services since 2020 across different clinical and therapeutic settings, and working with clients across different age groups. Since 2024, I have also been providing virtual mental health services to clients in Pakistan and internationally. My work includes EMDR, CBT, humanistic therapy, counselling, and life coaching, supporting clients with a range of psychological and personal concerns.

My work blends evidence-based methods — EMDR and CBT — with genuine warmth and cultural understanding. I know reaching out isn't always easy, especially where mental health is still whispered about, so I've built this space to feel unhurried, private, and entirely your own.

Fees

No pressure, no surprises.

No two people come to me carrying the same story, so I don't believe in a fixed treatment plan or a fixed price. Once we've had your
Free 15-min initial assessment call, we'll decide together what will genuinely help you — and your fee is set from there, based on that plan.

Good to know

Questions people often have.

Is everything I share confidential?

Yes. What you share in therapy stays private. The only rare exceptions are where there's a serious risk of harm to you or someone else — this is standard practice to keep everyone safe, and it's something Sana will explain clearly at the start.

Will I be given a diagnosis or medication?

As a Clinical Psychologist, Sana provides psychological assessment and therapy — not medication. Therapy doesn't require a diagnosis to be helpful. If medication ever seems useful, she can guide you toward a trusted psychiatrist.

Do you see clients outside Pakistan?

Yes. Sessions are held securely online, so you can join from anywhere in the world. Overseas clients are welcome — we'll agree on a fee together after your free 15-min assessment call.

What language are sessions in?

Sessions can be held in English or Urdu — whichever helps you feel most understood. You're welcome to move between both naturally.

I've never tried therapy before. Is that okay?

Completely okay — most people feel unsure at first. There's nothing you need to prepare or "get right". The free consultation is a gentle, no-pressure way to see how it feels before deciding anything.

How often would we meet?

I usually start with weekly sessions, then we adjust as things improve. There's no fixed commitment — the pace is something we'll decide together, based on what feels right for you.

Take the first step

You can start with just one conversation.

You don't need to have it all figured out. You don't need the perfect words.
You just need a safe place to begin — and that's exactly what this is.

Begin When You're Ready

The first step is just a hello.

No commitment, no intake forms, no need to have the right words.
Tell me a little about what's on your mind,
and we'll take it from there — together.

  • You send a message — as brief as you like.
  • I personally reply within 1–2 working days.
  • We find a time and format that feels right for you.
Prefer WhatsApp?Message anytime — replies are personal, not automated.

Your message goes directly to Sana and is treated as confidential. You don't need to share anything you're not ready to — a first name is enough.
